Chillicothe Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a drug bust Monday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Chillicothe Police Department Captain Tony Kirkendoll:
Kirkendoll says officers responded to a call in the 400-block of Jackson Street about a possible drug lab. According to reports, a resident was cleaning up around his building when he noticed suspicious items that he believed to be used in the production of methamphetamine. Officers investigated the scene and discovered the lab, which was subsequently turned over to a certified agent for disposal.
An individual attempted to recover the materials during the investigation. He was taken into custody.
Kirkendoll reminds residents to use caution when they discover possible facilities as the contents are often hazardous and could possibly explode. The police have not yet released the identities of those taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
