In Monday night’s meeting, the Chillicothe City council approved a resolution regarding the proposed water park. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to City Administrator Ike Holland:
“This resolution is basically just a statement and sets a point of where we start the project, “said Holland,”so that as I expend money on engineers, architects, designers, survey services, and landscaping it will all be under that one fund. It just helps for accounting purposes and any type of federal laws that might apply.”
The city council will host its third public meeting regarding the project on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the pool. Citizens are urged to participate and give their opinions.
In other business, the council approved a conditional use permit at 10 Washington Street for the storage of dirt, rock, and cement for construction use. The group went into executive session following the regular meeting.
