As we prepare for the upcoming spring storm season the Chillicothe Fire Department and Livingston County Emergency Management will be doing a program on weather awareness.   “We will be doing a public presentation covering the Joplin tornado and the challenges citizens faced following the disaster and recovery,” stated Darrell Wright, Chillicothe Fire Chief.  “Corey Sloan with the State Emergency Management will be conducting the session.”

A short presentation on the importance of preparedness and planning, what to do following a disaster and storm spotter reminders will take place. The entire program will last about an hour to an hour and a half.

The public is invited to attend the program on February 19th at 6:30 pm. at Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center at Third and Washington Streets.
