A special event for generous youngsters is being held in Chillicothe in one week. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Main Street Chillicothe Executive Director Micah Landes:

“The young shoppers can come and pick out gifts for the people that are important to them. Their mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents,” said Landes. “And they’re at an affordable price. And also we will have free wrapping. While they’re waiting on the wrapping paper they can make Christmas cards. And Santa will also be there from 5:00 to 7:00.”

Kids Christmas provides a safe alternative for children to shop for the holidays.

“It’s a good way for the kids to be able to come to the downtown and buy gifts all in one area, so they don’t have to go store-to-store. We have about eight merchants that will be all set up. So they can just go along and find the items that they’re looking for. And this way, they get a chance to go shopping and their parents aren’t there to see what they’re buying.”

The event runs from 4:00 to 7:00 next Wednesday, December 4th in the Livingston County Courthouse.
