CHILLICOTHE, Mo. – A regular session of the Chillicothe City Council was a brief affair Monday, July 27, 2015.
Part of the evening’s agenda was an appearance by Hedrick Medical Center’s outgoing C.E.O. Matt Wenzel. He thanked current and former members of the council for working with him to bring a new medical center to the community and region.
He also made note of those most responsible for the new facility’s on-going success.
Mr. Wenzel expressed confidence in the staff to keep the facility moving upward. He is leaving to take over as President and C.E.O. of St. Luke’s North in Kansas City and the Smithville Campus, effective Monday, August 10, 2015.
Afterwards Mayor Chuck Haney recommended resident Larry Heisey to the Airport Advisory Board which council approved. Mr. Heisey had this to say.
Also that night the mayor recommended Ben White to serve in the planning and zoning department. Mr. White was excited to return to the Chillicothe area and thanked council and all present for that opportunity.
The next meeting of the Chillicothe City council is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015. You can learn more about the community by visiting the city’s website.
