A fire at Danner Park in Chillicothe on Saturday is under investigation. According to Captain Tony Kirkendoll, when crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the maintenance building. “Two different buildings appeared to have been intentionally set on fire. We believe someone had set some debris on fire inside the bathrooms. One of the buildings suffered extensive damage. Right now, it appears to be an intentional fire,” Kirkendoll said.

Police are currently interviewing witnesses and following-up on all leads. “Luckily, because of the weather that day, they had some tournaments that ended earlier in the afternoon. We’re looking for anyone that may have been in the park around 3:30 or 4:00 p.m.,” Kirkendoll added.
