Chillicothe Police arrested a man for attempting to produce methamphetamine Tuesday. According to the probable cause statement, Shannon Stubbs, 47, was arrested on an unrelated Sullivan County warrant after denying a search of his motel room. Officers obtained a warrant and investigators found ingredients and paraphernalia used to cook meth. Stubbs was taken into custody and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Stubbs had been arrested on Monday in Sullivan County for providing materials to another with the intent of producing a controlled substance. He was given furlough to receive medical treatment in Columbia and was supposed to report back to Sullivan County by 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
