A Chillicothe family is in jail after a hotline call eventually led members of three law agencies to a residence in the 1700 block of Third Street.

The Chillicothe Police Department is reporting that officers with their department and agents with The Missouri Department of Probation and Parole and the Children’s Division arrested the four occupants of the residence after the alleged discovery of a meth lab.

Arrested were Michael Holtzclaw, 29, Josh Holtzclaw, 26, Kelly Holtzclaw, 26, and Sarah Holtzclaw, 27, on allegations of meth manufacture, possession of meth, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of meth paraphernalia.

All four are being held in the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

On 06/04/2014, Chillicothe Police Officers, the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole, and the Children’s Division responded to the 1700 block of Third Street in Chillicothe, MO in reference to a hotline call.  The investigation at the scene led officers to the 600 block of Missouri Avenue, which resulted in the seizure of a methamphetamine lab.

Michael Holtzclaw (29), Josh Holtzclaw (27), Kelly Holtzclaw (27), and Sarah Holtzclaw (26) were all arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.  All four suspects were transported to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Six juvenile children were taken into state custody for their protection.

The Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with collecting and disposing of the methamphetamine lab components.
