The Chillicothe Board of Education is having a special meeting Tuesday night. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Chillicothe R-II Superintendent Roger Barnes:
Barnes says the focus of the session is the district’s current bond issue which has ten years left under the current agreement. According to Barnes, the district has been in contact with multiple investment firms to research refinancing the bond. The district has narrowed the pool down to two choices and those firms will present their proposals during the special session. A change could result in a several hundred-thousand dollar long-term savings for tax payers.
The board meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. in the administrative building.
