KMZU’s Sandi Wilson spoke with Chillicothe City Administrator Ike Holland about the upcoming auction the city is having.
At the regular meeting held by the Chillicothe City Council last night, several items were discussed. The council voted on the nomination and appointment of Ron Cassidy to the Airport Board.
The council also voted and approved a bid estimate for road improvements. City officials plan to have roads fixed before the upcoming school year starts.
Another matter was approval to switch the stop signs at Montgomery Street and Missouri Street. The issue brought up was there is heavier traffic on Missouri Street, therefore that road should not have stop signs. Officials plan on switching the stop signs to Montgomery Street as early as this Friday.
City Administrator Ike Holland spoke about an auction coming up on June 20th. He says the auction is open to the public and will be held at the Old Hedrick Medical Center location. Items to be auctioned off include office furniture, hospital beds, bathroom fixtures, lighting, air conditioners and other things associated with office supplies.
The auction will begin at 8:00 a.m. Friday, June 20th. All proceeds taken in from the auction will go toward the city’s transportation fund to purchase new equipment such as dump trucks, a street sweeper, etc.
