CHILLICOTHE, MO – Chillicothe fire officials say they oversaw the extinguishing of a fire Friday just after 1 p.m.

According to a press release, fire crews were called to the scene in the 1000 block of Gilbert Street in response to reports of a vehicle and garage on fire. Chief Darrell Wright says, the vehicle fire was put out, and the occupants of the residence assisted in extinguishing a fire in the garage. The building sustained minimal damage according to the report. No injuries were mentioned.
