The annual Christmas Folk sing is returning to the Arrow Rock Federation Church  and this year they will be welcoming two nationally known folk artists, Cathy Barton and Dave Para. Kathy Borgman, executive director of the friends of Arrow Rock says, “The folk singing is presented by Cathy Barton and Dave Para. They are wonderful folk musicians from the Booneville area. And I don’t know of anyone who has a larger  repertoire of wonderful, traditional, music than Cathy and Dave.”

Borgman says they have received many honors and awards for their work. “Cathy and Dave are quite accomplished musicians both vocally  and with instruments.”

In 2012, Cathy and Dave were given the prestigious Governor’s Award from the Missouri Humanities Council for “Exemplary Community Achievement.”

Cathy and Dave will be in Arrow Rock tonight to preform some of their folk music both traditional, and non-traditional. The event will take place at the Arrow Rock Federation Church and is free and open to the public. The event will begin at 4 this afternoon and will wrap up at 6.
