The Knob Noster United Methodist Church will host an all-community Pig Roast and Theme Basket Auction Saturday evening, October 27.  Pastor Bryan Wendling says the annual event is typically held during the summer months but they decided move it to the cooler time of year.

“We wanted to have it be more of a harvest festival this year and we decided to do a pig roast and a basket auction.”  Wendling says the fundraising event is “a way of serving our community” and proceeds from the night help the group continue those efforts.

Dinner starts at 5 and the auction starts at 6 p.m.   Proceeds will go toward the church’s ongoing ministry in the Knob Noster and Whiteman Air Force Base communities.  Cost is $6 at the door for adults and $2 for children.
