A group of citizens in Sedalia is currently writing a proposal regarding grass, weed, and trash issues within the city.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk to chairman Mary Merritt:

“Our recommendation is probably, now we haven’t got anything firm yet that’s going to the council because we’re still talking and working on drafts, but probably we’re going to recommend a proactive approach to things like grass, weeds, trash, abandoned vehicles, and those sorts of things,”said Merritt,”This is opposed to a reactive plan which just means the inspectors go out if they receive a call of complaint.”

The group will meet again on August 7th and present its final recommendation to the city council on August 27th.
