Brookfield’s City Clerk will take over as City Manager in less than a month. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with current City Clerk Dana Tarpening:
Dave Hane retires May 1st, and Dana Tarpening will step up to the position at that time. Tarpening believes her years that position have done a good job of preparing her for the new job.
“We do parallel some of duties now as City Manager and City Clerk. We work together and we have a lot of huge projects going on right. Big financial projects,” said Tarpening.
Tarpening has served as City Clerk since 1986.
The City is still accepting applications for a new City Clerk. That period closes at noon on Monday.
