The City of Sedalia will be holding its annual leaf pick up week starting Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5. Public works director for the City of Sedalia tells us about the 24 hour waste site. “It’s there for their convenience. All we ask is that they do de-bag their leaves if they bring them out there and there is a dumpster they can put their bags in but we ask that side is kept clean, so please nothing but yard waste.”
Beck says it is very important that we bag leaves rather than leaving them to blow into the street. “The big push is just to try to keep all of that out of our storm water system. We even have an ordinance against just blowing out into the street.” Beck explains, “So we ask that they do collect them and not let them get out into the street.”
This pick-up is for leaves only so it is asked that large limbs not be put into the bags.
