SHELBY COUNTY, Mo – A Clarence resident is facing drug distribution charges after multiple controlled purchases near an elementary school.

According to the Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force, Crystal Lynn Payne, 39, sold methamphetamine to a Task Force informant during May and June of this year. All four of the sales were made within 2000 feet of the Clarence Elementary School, with three of those also being in the presence of children.

Payne is facing four counts of Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location.
