Many Class 1, 2, and 3 District Tournaments will get underway over the weekend. One of the most watched boys districts will be Class 1 District 10 at Tina-Avalon High School. Play there gets underway Saturday and the Top-Seeded Glasgow YellowJackets draw the 1:15 game and take on the Malta Bend Tigers. If the seedings play out fans are in for a marquee matchup in the Championship Game as Tina-Avalon’s Dragons garner the number 2 seed. Jacket’s Coach Mick Cropp and Dragon bench boss Jake Reardon were the first to point out that both teams have alot of work to do before that potential matchup could take place but both can also see the potential quality of such a game should the seedings hold. Coach Cropp said he knows a game against the Dragons would be a tough one that he believes in his team and their preparation.
Coach Reardon said there shouldn’t be alot of surprises when it comes to the way the Dragons approach all they’re games during districts but that should the seeds hold; Glasgow big man Reid Littrell could be a concern.
A full slate of basketball is set for Saturday at Class 1 District 10 with The top seeded Hale Girls taking on Malta Bend in the first game of the day starting at twelve noon. Glasgow’s Lady Yellowjackets drew the number two seed at Tina-Avalon
