UPDATE: (05/11/16 10:27 p.m.) from the Clay County Sheriff’s Department

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department has reopened southbound Interstate 35 at 92 Highway. A tweet from the Sheriff’s Department says a K-9 unit indicated on a suspected vehicle at that location. No explosives were found in the vehicle and the interstate is open to traffic.

CLAY COUNTY, Mo. – A KMZU listener called to advise us that southbound Interstate 35, South of the Kearney exit has been closed by law Police-Featured-3enforcement.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department has tweeted that they are investigating the threat of an explosive device. Again I-35 southbound, South of 92 highway will be closed for about 30 minutes more. We will bring you an update when it becomes available.
