The Clay County Economic Development Council recently presented their 2012 Keystone Awards. According to officials, it’s an opportunity to honor local businesses and organizations who have made significant contributions to the economic development of the area.
The winners included The Elms Hotel and Spa and Villas Downtown in Excelsior Springs, Mosaic Life Care in Kearney, the North Kansas City Hospital Expansion, and Rockwell Labs, Benton House of Shoal Creek, Courtyard Marriott at Briarcliff, EXLTUBE in North Kansas City, Ford Motor Stamping Plant, Headrush Roasters, Coffee and Tea, Ladoga Ridge Winery, The Logistics Store, Magna, the National Archives and Records Administration, Rockwell Labs, LTD., and Vatterott College.
The total 17 award winners represented nearly $million in investments to the area.
awards were also presented to Bennett Boulevard Roadway, the Kearney High School Field Renovation, the Smithville Performing Arts, the North Kansas City School Technology Upgrade, and Northland projects by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
