Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Ford officials will be in the Kansas City area today to sign a memorandum of agreement to extend production at the Claycomo assembly plant. The plant already builds the top selling F-150 pickup, and the announcement could reveal a second product line for the facility. State lawmakers approved ten-years of tax incentives for the facility during last year’s special legislative session. The Claycomo plant, which employs more than four thousand salaried workers, has a direct economic impact on all but one of Missouri’s counties.
