WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton says her use of a private email system at the State Department wasn’t the “best choice” and acknowledges in an interview that she didn’t “stop and think” about her email set-up when she became President Barack Obama’s secretary of state in 2009.
Clinton says in an interview with NBC News on Friday that she wasn’t “thinking a lot” about it when she joined the new Obama administration. She says they had “so many problems around the world” and she didn’t think about what kind of email system there would be.
She says it doesn’t raise questions about her judgment.
The Democratic front-runner for the 2016 nomination is trying to overcome criticism about her use of a private email server as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state.
