A Clinton resident has been sentenced for the 2012 murder he was convicted of in September.
Attorney General Chris Koster announced Wednesday that Lonny Leroy Mays received a life sentence for the shooting death of his neighbor Rudy Romdall following several altercations.
Judge Mark Pilley handed down Mays’ sentence of life without parole and another fifteen years for armed criminal action. The sentences will run concurrently.
On March 26th, 2012 Mays attempted to confront Romdall earlier in the day but Romdall backed down. Later Romdall was sitting in his car at an intersection near the subdivision when Mays fired a rifle though the victim’s car door, killing him.
