COLUMBIA, MO – In a press release Friday, Columbia Police said they had been notified of the results of a DNA test as part of a murder investigation.

Remains found in a Columbia landfill were a match for Megan Shultz. Shultz was reported missing by her husband, Keith Comfort, in 2006. Comfort is charged with murder after voluntarily implicating himself, August 2019, in her murder.

Court documents indicate Comfort placed Shultz’s body in a black garbage bag and threw it into an apartment complex dumpster more than 13 years ago.
