COLUMBIA, Mo. – A man who was shot in Columbia on June 26 of this year, died Thursday.
Quenten Hurt, 25, and a female passenger were both wounded when the shooter pulled along side as the cars merged onto Interstate 70 from Highway 63. The alleged suspect, Denico Sanchez Crawley, 30, of Columbia, fired several shots into the drivers side of the victims vehicle. Police say Crawley was a former boyfriend of the female victim, who has not yet been identified. Crawley is already charged with first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, first degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
An autopsy must be performed before additional charges will be considered.
