OVERLAND PARK, MO – A man wanted for a murder that took place in Columbia, was shot and killed by Overland Park early Friday morning.

Police say, Charles Tyrone Webb, 43, fired on officers near 79th and Grant. Webb was struck with return fire from police, and hospitalized. According to law enforcement, Webb died of injuries around noon today. Webb was being sought for his suspected involvement in the shooting of Robert Eugene Jennings, 43, in Columbia, May 3 this year. Investigators are still looking into today’s shooting, and the May 3 murder.
