COLUMBIA, Mo. – An early morning robbery in Columbia is under investigation by the local police department.
In a press release law enforcement reports a 40-year-old male was walking towards the 200 block of Austin Avenue, on Business Loop 70 East, when he was approached by a male suspect near the intersection of Austin and Grand Avenue Friday, August 12, 2016 at 3:59 a.m.
At that point the Hispanic or light skinned African-American suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash southbound on foot.
