COLUMBIA, Mo.– According to a recent release from the Columbia Police Department, officers were dispatched to a shots fired in the 5400 block of Volunteer Drive last night at approximately 11:37.  shooting

Officers arrived on scene and found a 19-year-old male subject running down the road with a gunshot wound.

The male victim, from Columbia, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Columbia Police Department Detectives and Forensic Evidence Unit were called to the scene to gather information and evidence.  The only suspect information is three black males, all approximately 6’0” with dark clothing and something over their faces. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
