The Pettis County Commission launched a new program this week to help residents pay for their medications.  Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with Presiding Commissioner John Meehan:

John Meehan

Meehan says the program started when the Commission learned that 30 percent of residents do not have insurance to cover their prescriptions. The free cards can be used at pharmacies throughout the county.  There are no income or age restrictions, limits to the number of times the card can be used, and no forms to be filled out.  The cards can be picked up at the Pettis County Courthouse or at http://www.pettiscomo.com/.
