The Concordia Board of Aldermen met in regular session Monday and had several items on the agenda. One of those items was a presentation of a water meter maintenance program by Tom Steehman, from Utility Services.
According to City Administrator Dale Klussman, the program is intended for smaller communities to be able to afford the services of water meters.
“A lot of your bigger towns and communities have multiple meters and are able to spread that out,” Klussman said.
Utility service are able to purchase and place the meters. These meters allow for more accurate readings and are less time consuming than having to go out and take individual readings. It can all be done by computer and provide quicker results.
