The Board of Education in Concordia will meet Thursday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to superintendent Mary Beth Scherer:
The board is expected to make amendments to the district budget during this session. “Generally about this time, we get a better idea of some local information in terms of what our assessed valuation is and what our levy is going to be,” said Scherer,” So, we amend that to what the actual results will be of those changes. We’ll also look at changes to salaries for any teachers who may have gone back to school. We try to get all the adjustments made so that we have a better idea of how much we have to work with for the school year.”
Other items on the agenda include the review of ACT and MAP scores, as well as the district’s annual performance report. Members will also consider bids for the purchase of additional doors.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library media center.
