A Lafayette County Judge sustained a motion denying Compensatory Credit on Probation last Wednesday.  Rhett Bredehoeft, 26, is currently serving five years probation for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated – resulting in injury.  He pleaded guilty to the assault charges in April.

According to Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney Kellie Wingate Campbell, the Justice Reinvestment Act would have reduced Bredehoeft’s parole time by 30 days for each calendar month he complied with the terms.  She filed a motion to prevent that in late August, and Bredehoeft will now serve the full five years.
