UPDATE: – 12/2 – Charges are pending against a man wanted as part of a search Sunday according to Cooper County officials.
Cooper County deputies responded to an assault report in the afternoon as part of an assault investigation. A search for Robert J. Jackson ended Sunday without his apprehension. Authorities believe, he is no longer in the area. He currently has outstanding warrants.
The assault investigation was the result of a delayed report and was not in progress at the time. Charges against Jackson are being considered for submission to the county prosecutor.

Just before 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon deputies responded to an assault report. While investigating, an unnamed male subject fled the residence. The department requests that any resident in the area of hwy 87, Cave Creek Road, and Dishion Lane lock their homes and vehicles. The subject is a white male, around 40-years-old, wearing a tan jacket and dark pants. Individuals should contact law enforcement if anyone fitting the description approaches their home.
