COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — Three out-of-state residents were taken to Cooper County Jail after being alleged to have been in possession of drugs Tuesday morning.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Pica-Sanchez, of Pelham, N.C., was pulled over for alleged speeding and failure to drive in the right lane.
It was later alleged that Pica-Sanchez was in possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and less than 10 grams of marijuana.
Two passengers in the vehicle, 21-year-old Pelham resident Julio C. Cadena and Axton, Va. resident Juan C. Luna-Acosta, 24, were also arrested under the suspicion of possessing less than 10 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
All three were transported to Cooper County Jail. Luna-Acosta and Cadena were released, while Pica-Sanchez was listed as bondable.
