Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with District Technician Trevor Stillwell:
The Linn County Soil and Water Conservation District is holding their annual cost-share sign-up through the 24th of this month. “This is to help landowners in our county address erosion issues such as ponds, terraces, diversions, and we do some seeding practices, “said Stillwell, “We have a wide variety of things.”
“They have to be taxed agriculturally and have at least 5 acres of ground, “said Stillwell, “Basically, they just need to stop in the office and we will sign them up.”
No fax or phone-ins will be allowed for the sign-up which is for fiscal year 2016 that runs from July 1, 2015 through June 30th, 2016.
