Discussion on a contended issue in Sedalia continues Monday night. City Council will discuss the downtown inspection issue proposed by the Citizens for a Clean Sedalia Committee.

The ordinance was brought forward at last week’s City Council meeting, and many citizens spoke both for and against the idea of annual inspections in the downtown. Only buildings open to public use would be affected.

No decisions will be made Monday evening. Council meets at 6:00 in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Following that briefing, they will take a tour of the Sedalia Fire Department.
