SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Marshall accused of child sex-related crimes is due to be in a Saline County courtroom Monday afternoon.
Anthony James Gerst, 18, allegedly carried out sexual acts on a female victim younger than 14 on a number of occasions from October 2017 to February 2018.
Gerst is charged with three felony counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14 as well as a single felony count of child molestation in the third degree.
Gerst is slated to appear for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. Monday, where a motion for a change of venue in the case may be considered.
