HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. – The battle for records continues in Howard County, over the suicide of Kenneth Suttner, 17, in 2016.
The defense attorney for Harley K. Branham, 23, of Fayette, filed a motion to compel discovery, in the Howard County Associate Court Thursday. Branham, who managed the Dairy Queen in Fayette where Suttner worked, is charged with aggravated stalking, two counts of misdemeanor assault and two counts of misdemeanor harassment. The Howard County Coroner contends that the records of an inquest are not public records. That question has been making its way through the appellate court process.
A trial setting for Branham remains on the docket for 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.
