The case against a Sedalia teen was reviewed Thursday morning. Cody Bergman, 13, was charged last summer with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is accused of shooting his step-father William Capps, 41, at his Sedalia home in Apr. 2011. The Missouri Supreme Court assigned Saline County Judge Dennis Rolf to preside over the case and a change of venue was granted earlier this year. Bergman was scheduled to undergo a mental evaluation, although the results have not yet been released. If convicted, Bergman could receive a life sentence without parole.
