KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Windsor resident received hospitalization after a crash in Jackson County Sunday morning.

Missouri State Highway Patrol report that at 10:54 a.m., they were summoned to the 7.6 mile marker of I-470 westbound for a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they discovered that a westbound vehicle driven by Windsor resident Hannah Phillips, 18, was merging onto I-470 westbound from US 50 Highway when she lost control of her vehicle and travelled off the left side of the roadway. They then struck a guardrail and returned to the roadway, where they were then struck by another westbound vehicle driven by 32-year-old Heather Johnston, of Belton.

A passenger in Phillips’ car, Rebecca Phillips, 41 and also of Windsor, reported minor injuries and was the only individual involved who did so. She was transported to Research Medical Center for treatment.

All three women involved in the crash reported wearing seatbelts.
