An accident in Pettis County Monday afternoon injured three people. According to the Highway Patrol Karl Persinger, 60, of Sedalia was heading south at the intersection of Highway 65 and Grand Avenue when he allegedly failed to yield and was struck by Aaron Eckerberg, 40, of Liberty. Passengers in Eckerberg’s vehicle, Kathryn Burgess, 34, and Douglas Burgess, 33, both of Parkville, had minor injuries and they were taken to Bothwell Regional Hospital. Eckerburg was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries to University Hospital.
