Both Corn and soybean harvest advanced slightly last week. Temperatures well below average were experienced across the
state, with the temperature averaging 30.9 degrees, which is 13.3 degrees below normal. There were 5.7 days on average considered suitable for fieldwork during the week ending November 16th. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 16 percent short to very short, 81 percent adequate, and 3 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 20 percent short to very short, 76 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Corn harvest was 91 percent complete while soybean harvest was 89 percent complete. Winter wheat planted progressed to 88 percent and winter wheat emerged progressed to 59 percent. Fall tillage progressed to 43 percent. Pasture condition was rated 12 percent poor to very poor, 38 percent fair, and 50 percent good to excellent.
