Planned water releases from Missouri River dams are expected to be reduced by the end of this week.

The U.S. Army Corps of engineers said Tuesday, dam releases at Garrison, Randall and Gavin’s Point dams will be reduced beginning Wednesday, through Saturday.

Reservoir inflows for the first part of November have been less than forecast, and the water level of the mainstream system is falling faster than expected.

With the planned reduction in releases, the system storage by the end of the month is still forecast to be 57.4 million acre feet, which is 0.3 MAF lower than projected.
