A flu shot clinic is being hosted by the Daviess County Health Department in Gallatin on Tuesday. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to administrator Cherly Alexander:
“Everyone needs a flu shot especially the people that may have other illnesses,” said Alexander,” Children and the elderly are very vulnerable to the flu. Getting the vaccination at the clinic doesn’t take very long. We try to get individuals in and out as quickly as possible.”
Tuesday’s clinic will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. An additional session will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Outreach clinics will also be offered. Those dates include:
Thursday, October 4th
Jamesport School Cafeteria 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 11th
Jameson School Cafeteria 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Pattonsburg Senior Center 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Winston School Library 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All clinics are open to the public. Those individuals holding medicare or medicaid cards are asked to present them at the time of service.
