With elections less than one week away, county clerk offices across the listening area are offering extended hours to area voters.  Carroll County Clerk Peggy McGaugh said this will include tomorrow which marks an important deadline prior to August 5th.  “We will stay open an extra 30 minutes until 5 p.m.” said McGaugh, “This is for the purpose of people who want to request an absentee ballot that we send by mail.  Many parents come and make the request for their parents or children away at college.”

Tomorrow  is the final day to make this request.  The Carroll county clerk’s office will also offer extended hours for absentee voting on Saturday August 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and August 4th when they will remain open until 5 p.m.
