STURGEON, Mo.- According to reports the Sturgeon Police Department, the death of a 36-year-old woman in February is under investigation.

On February 17, 2017, police officials responded to a home on East Wall Street for a reported cardiac arrest. Medics pronounced the victim dead upon arrival.

Press release indicates no one actually saw the woman collapse. Boone County Medical Examiner’s office was asked to investigate, citing the lack of witnesses, the woman’s young age, lack of known health problems, and alleged heroin use in the home.

Police also arrested another resident of the home on suspicion of stealing items after the homeowner was contacted and reported items missing.

Autopsy is currently pending on the woman and the Boone County Sheriff’s Department is assisting with the investigation.
