BATES COUNTY, Mo. – A Harrisonville man, arrested in June of 2018, continues to wait for a public defender to be assigned to his case.
Kyle Patrick Calhoun, 32, and a co-defendant, Christopher C. Zumwalt, 32, of Cleveland, Mo., were arrested after a traffic stop by a Bates County Deputy. When the deputy determined that Calhoun was driving on a revoked license, he took Calhoun into custody. Zumwalt handed over a bag of methamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.
Calhoun will appear for a counsel status hearing at 8:30 a.m. this morning, on charges of drug trafficking in the second degree and possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana.
