The Board of Education for the North Callaway School District has announced that Superintendent Dr. Bryan Thomsen will retain his position with the District.
Dr. Thomsen was arrested in May of last year for DUI, alcohol. Thomsen pleaded guilty to the charges in August of 2013 and has apologized to the district and students.
The board has released a statement saying one mistake should not color the “exemplary” job Dr. Thomsen has done the past five years as Superintendent.
However, a letter was placed in his file and any other future transgression will be cause to terminate his employment.
