UPDATE: 5 p.m. – According to Boonville police, just after 4 p.m., a teen reported missing was located unharmed. Alyssa Murray, 15, was believed to be in danger after going missing this morning. Police thank members of the public who provided tips.
COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — Police in Boonville are searching for a teen who was reported missing early Thursday morning.
A news release from the department says that authorities are searching for 15-year-old Alyssa N. Murray.
Alyssa was last seen sitting on the front steps of her residence in Boonville by a friend around midnight. When the witness attempted to check on her, Alyssa reportedly ran away from the area towards Water Street.
An early investigation found that Alyssa likely left her bedroom through an open window. Alyssa is described as a white female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5′ 6″ tall, weighing approximately 170 lbs.
She was last seen wearing a black and white flannel button-up shirt with blue jeans. Alyssa’s current hairstyle is described as half-shaved and multicolored.
Police are warning that Alyssa may be a danger to herself.
