UPDATE: 7 p.m. – CARROLLTON, Mo. — A four vehicle accident on U. S. 65 Highway, 30 feet south of Route CC this afternoon at 12:23 p.m. sent a Carrollton resident to Carroll Co. Memorial Hospital.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by Jordan T. Stewart-Humphrey of Carrollton was northbound on 65; vehicles driven by James N. Johnson of Slater, Glenda Merten of Grandview and Claud J. Miller of Norborne were also northbound and stopped in the roadway for Miller who was turning onto Route CC.
The Stewart-Humphrey vehicle began sliding and hit the Johnson vehicle creating the chain reaction accident.
Shawn P. Brotherton of Carrollton, a passenger in the Johnson vehicle, was transported to the hospital by Carroll County EMS with moderate injuries.
CARROLLTON, Mo. — A two-vehicle accident has been confirmed just north of Carrollton on US 65 Highway near Ag-Power.
According to sources, two-vehicles were involved in an apparent collision on US 65 at Route CC. Emergency personnel are on scene and directing traffic.
Traffic is currently down to one-lane as drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
Injuries have not been confirmed at this time and KMZU will provide formal details as they become available.
